Construction of the Kuşadası port began in 1960 and it opened for service in 1973. Initially, it served as a cargo pier. Later, due to the increase in tourism in Kuşadası, it was transformed into a cruise port. Privatized in 2003, the Kuşadası port began operations under Ege Liman İşletmeleri A.Ş. (Aegean Port Operations Inc.). Since 2003, as a tourism port, it has contributed significantly to the growth and development of Kuşadası businesses and the surrounding area. Today, the port remains a major source of income, continuing to bring smiles to the faces of Kuşadası businesses.
