Kaleiçi Mosque is one of the finest examples of architecture among the historical sites of Kuşadası. It was built by Öküz Mehmet Pasha in the early 17th century at the same time as the caravanserai and was renovated in 1830. It is built in a square plan with cut stone. The main area is covered with a dome placed on a sixteen-sided drum. There are 16 windows. The main gate of the mosque, in the tradition of Ottoman woodwork, consists of geometric interlocks. These interlocks are made of inlays of mother-of-pearl, ivory, and silver.
